Meet Ellie Ogden, daughter of Matt Ogden, owner of Evolution Dog Wash. Much like her dad, Ellie is a genuine dog lover and determined to succeed in whatever she takes on. She was raised in Golden, Colorado, but ventured south to Texas Christian University to attend college. Now a junior, Ellie is majoring in finance with a minor in accounting and an emphasis in sales.
Growing up, Ellie raced dirt bikes competitively and traveled frequently to Texas for training. “Texas has always been like a second home to me,” she says. Which is why attending college in Texas was a natural choice. During her time at TCU, Ellie maintains a 4.0 GPA and enjoys playing on the lacrosse team, working out and spending time with friends. She also enjoys going for walks with her dog, Apple, who is also Evolution’s mascot, whenever she can spend time with her.
As our summer marketing intern, Ellie will work alongside our marketing team to create content for social media and blogs, as well as assist with the development of the Evolution Dog Wash website. “I’m hoping to gain problem-solving skills, teamwork skills and learn about content creation and social media within a business,” she says. “With that, I am most looking forward to working on a project where I will decide which new products would be best to sell on the website. This will allow me to better my problem-solving skills and get more of an insight to how the business works.”
As a dog owner herself, Ellie understands firsthand the convenience that Evolution Dog Wash offers to pet owners. “After all the hikes we do as a family, Apple loves to be washed in an Evolution Dog Wash,” she says. “As Appleās owner, I love washing her because she is always so clean and soft before she goes into the house. It takes a quick 15-minute wash to get Apple all soaped up and washed off, leaving her soft and smooth!”
In various ways throughout the years, our company has invested in the lives of young people and young entrepreneurs. We see them as our future, and value the opportunities we have to help them learn business skills that can set them up for a more successful future. We look forward to having Ellie serve as part of our team this summer!
